Bast

Bast is a Brooklyn born artist. His posters have been a constant part of the urban art landscape of New York and Europe for the past 10 years. While his artwork has remained a prominent fixture in the NY urban environment, he himself has remained a very elusive character. Acting something like a Loch Ness that rarely show up in public and who's very existence has been debated, very little is known of his work outside of what the public sees wheat pasted throughout the city. His works on canvas are a complete departure from what he presents on the street: it is aggressive and bold, offering a fresh take on Punk art and appropriated imagery from all media.
