Growing up in the grim industrial Yorkshire town of Huddersfield, Cbloxx, an art school drop out and self taught street artist managed to shed the mundane trappings of small town syndrome by consistently going against the graine

Deciding to escape to the nearest city on the hunt for culture, she found herself 2 minutes away from the prison in Armley, Leeds....

Regardless Cbloxx began to chisel out a career as a freelance artist working with community arts organisations and expanding her portfolio.

Influenced by both her day job; working with disaffected youths ...and escaping her day job, Cbloxx brings gritty realism as well as a psychedelic, surrealism to the table.....and then mashes them together.

The effect is similar to a cheese dream/nightmare. Images of voodoo characters against Urban landscapes, Nuclear war, animals, Americans depp south, Indian pattern work and tribal references creep into the paintings which all maintain a relevant and identifiable street style.

Using hand drwan and cut stencils, spraypaint, markers and freehand drawing, images are built layer upon layer
