George grew up in Streatham, south London.
After studying animation for four years, he realised that he would rather work down a coal mine than be stuck at a desk producing someone else's crap. So he decided to start painting for himself – usually focusing on the way popular culture interacts with religion and politics.
George has produced work for the Rolling Stones and for The Thirst. He also managed to briefly hi-jack Banksy's Cans Festival with a hung mannequin of a city gent clasping a suitcase stuffed with £20 notes to make a point about the direction in which some urban art is being taken.
"Living in London is hard work. If you do not shout, you will not be heard. This is what I try to get across in my work. I hate art that looks like it has been bought from IKEA or stolen from a hospital. Nowadays if you want to get someone's attention you have to walk up to them and slap them in the face."
