Sweet Toof
"I got into it after watching a film called 'Style Wars' by Henry Chalfant, also 'Beat Street' and the book 'Subway Art' are to blame".
That was back in 1986 and he's been painting walls with an enthusiasm like no other ever since. The obsession with teeth and gums which comes from childhood memories of sweet shops chews with the added fact that the image is simple and quick to paint with limited colours: pink, black, white. Working close with his partner in crime 'Cyclops' they have hit the East End hard with spray paint, paste ups and virtual installations on a grand scale. Sweet Toof also boasts an impressive CV including a BA Hon's in painting & printmaking, diploma in Painting at the Royal Academy Schools-London together with many awards.
Asked what the future holds?
"For the future? I want to get me teeth into something and take a big bite"
